Hydraulic Mechanic / Mechanical Rebuild Technician

Location: Brooklyn Heights, OH
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Overtime: Optional overtime available

We are a family-owned commercial truck component remanufacturing company with over 45 years of experience in Ohio. We’re growing our hydraulics shop team and looking for a hands-on mechanic who enjoys taking things apart, figuring out what went wrong, rebuilding components, and seeing them work again.

This is a full-time, shop-based position with no field travel . You’ll work in a clean, climate-controlled facility with steady Monday-Friday hours and receive hands-on training to build your hydraulic and mechanical rebuild skills.

What You'll Do

As a Hydraulic Mechanic / Mechanical Rebuild Technician, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, and testing hydraulic and mechanical components.

Your day may include:

• Diagnosing mechanical problems and identifying worn or damaged components
• Disassembling and inspecting hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, and valves
• Cleaning, repairing, replacing components, and rebuilding assemblies
• Using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools to check tolerances
• Testing rebuilt components to make sure they perform properly
• Following repair and quality-control procedures
• Keeping your workbench and shop area clean, safe, and organized

What We're Looking For

You don't have to be an expert in hydraulics to be successful here. We’re looking for someone with a solid mechanical foundation who enjoys hands-on repair work and wants to learn.

Ideal experience includes:

• 1+ years of mechanical repair, assembly, maintenance, automotive, diesel, industrial, or military mechanical experience
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, or assembling mechanical equipment
• Ability to use or learn to use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings or schematics is a plus
• Willingness to learn hydraulic systems and component rebuilding
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Must have basic personal mechanical hand tools
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check

Hydraulic experience is a plus, but not required for the right mechanically skilled candidate.
